Passau is located on the border to Austria and is the city where three rivers Donau, Inn and Ilz flow together. The old town of the Three Rivers City is also called the Venice of Bavaria because of its southern flair. The cityscape was built by Italian master builders and is characterized by houses in the style of the Inn and Salzach. Passau offers many sights such as the Veste Oberhaus castle complex from the 13th century, St. Stephen’s Cathedral with its characteristic onion domes and an organ with 17,974 pipes, museums for children and adults, guided tours of the old town and much more.
